Getting married is a big step, personally but also financially as well for those couples wanting to have a big beautiful wedding. Due to the struggling economy, the number of weddings is lower because of the reason that many families are not able to afford the wedding that they would like to have right now . There are some frugal couples out there, though , that have gotten all of the things they have wanted for their wedding but for much less money by being creative and bargain hunters . There are other ways to do things on your own rather than hiring a professional to do them such as on the flowers and the invitations. With the great technology and computer programs , many couples are now choosing to make and print out their own wedding invitations using their PC’s and own paper. There are even specific programs for your computer to create professional looking wedding invitations and this can save you a lot of money from having them done professionally .

Flowers and floral arrangements for the wedding can be astronomical and most people believe they must hire a professional florist to have this part of the wedding done . There are a couple of ways to save money here. If you really do not want to try to attempt making your own arrangements or bouquets, you can still save money by ordering your arrangements from an online florist . If you want to save even more money, just order the flowers online and have your bridesmaids over for a bridal bouquet making brunch where everyone puts together the bouquets and arrangements with your bridal party saving a lot of money on labor.

Another cost cutting method for your reception is to not hire a band or a DJ for the music at your wedding and reception . You may use a laptop, or your Ipod and put together special play lists for the cocktail hour and the dancing later all by yourself saving a ton of money.
