Melaleuca MLM Review - Scam Or Legitimate Home Business?
Have you heard about Melaleuca and are curious as to whether or not it is a scam or legitimate business opportunity? This article will give you an honest, unbiased review of the company.
1) Melaleuca - The Company
Melaleuca is a wellness based company with its world headquarters located in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Melaleuca offers a home business opportunity by selling or marketing their products through MLM or multi-level marketing.
2) Products
The Melaleuca products are vast and varied. Items include anything from nutritional supplements to personal or home care items. Many of the Melaleuca formulations are all natural as well as friendly to the environment. Some people are claiming to have received positive benefits by consuming the products, such as relief from many inflammatory based complaints.
3) Comp Plan
The Melaleuca business opportunity contains a multi-level, open-ended matrix compensation plan. The issue with the comp plan is that it can’t be easily understood by most. The other issue is because it is a matrix compensation plan and spillover will happen at some point, many times this can encourage laziness. An example of how this could work is when a hard working person will be sponsoring lots of people under his team and so they in turn may receive a small check. Some team members may then assume that because they received income for doing nothing, that no work is involved in building a successful MLM business. Some people do well with the matrix plans, but many struggle.
In conclusion, Melaleuca seems to have a decent product line, but in my opinion the comp plan leaves more to be desired. If you don’t mind having to get an average of 100-200 people or more on your team just to make a $1000 residual check each month, then the Melaleuca business might be the right fit for you.
