How to find the best items to sell on eBay is a common question. Choosing the wrong items to sell is a large mistake that many beginning sellers make. Choosing the right products can help sellers earn a lot of money through eBay. There is only one way to do this and that is to procure items from either drop shippers or wholesalers.
The first thing you must do is to obtain product catalogs from as many drop shippers and wholesalers as possible. With these catalogs youll know what products you can get your hands on. Now you can do market research on products you know you can sell.
Getting the catalogs first will save you time. Many beginners do product research only to find that once they have determined the best products to sell, they cant find any wholesalers to supply them.
It is important to obtain many product catalogs regardless of whether you have interest in their products. Many sellers choose to sell products they are deeply passionate about despite the lack of buyer interest. You should not assume that other people are interested in a product just because you are. This brings us to the single most important factor of your success.
Once you have compiled a list from the product catalogs of potential products, you should determine their ability to sell. Looking at the recently closed auctions for the product should give you this information.
If a product has a high percentage sold rate, that indicates a hot item. If the success rate is a low number, then you probably want to steer clear of that particular product.
If, on the other hand, you see that 50% have sold then you might have a good product to sell. Make sure you check to see how many auctions there have been, 1 of 2 sold will still be 50% but probably means there is not much of a market for that product.
Another important thing you will want to check is that the price the product sold for is higher than the price at which you can get the product. There are plenty of affordable tools out there to assist you further in your research to find the best product to sell on Ebay.
