Is it time for a new roof on your business. If so you may have spent some time wondering about the amount of work that would be involved in replacing your roof with a trouble free alternative. standing seam metal roofing offers many benefits.

If you want something that is much more durable than the typical built up flat roofing, standing seam metal roofing is the obvious choice. These roofs are made with a clip system that allows for heat expansion of the roofing panels. The upper part of the clip holds panels in place and forms a seal. The clips also allow the roofing panels to move as needed for heat expansion or when temperatures cool.

One real advantage of metal roofing is that it offers a much lighter weight roofing system than most other systems. Metal roofing weighs only one and one-half pounds per each square foot.

One of those advantages is that the roofing system is easily installed. Since it is made to be installed over other existing roofing, the standing seam system can be installed in almost any weather. There is no need to remove the older roofing materials. This means that even a sudden storm will not cause problems such as leaking during construction. The old roof protects the building below. In addition there is no need for costly removal of the old materials and the even more costly disposal of the materials. Very few weather conditions can cause installation of standing seam metal roofing to be stopped. Only extremely heavy rainfall, very cold weather or very high winds will prevent the panels from being installed onto the building.

Standing seam metal roofing is easily maintained. Unlike other roofing systems that may require maintenance frequently, standing seam metal roofing can last up to twenty years with very little or even no maintenance. The roofs are trouble free in their performance.

These roofs are made so that they can withstand snow, wind and rain and still be watertight. The seam that joins the panels are weather tight and are raised above the drainage plane of the roof. Organic sealers are applied at the factory when the roofing is rolled out and formed into a panel. At your building a machine is used for completion of the seal.

Standing seam metal roofs are very reliable and insure that you will have adequate drainage for your roof, no matter if you must deal with snow or rain. If you are having difficulty with water ponding on the roof, leaking roof or other problems that are common occurrences with flat roofs, consider adding a standing seam metal roof. The new roof only requires a one quarter inch fall for every twelve inches of roofing. This gives the appearance of an essentially flat roof with none of the ordinary difficulties commonly associated with flat roofs.

When buildings have combination roofs, standing seam metal roofing can be used on both sloped and flat roofs. This roofing is the solution to your leaking roof.
